A great day in Morocco

Finally! Despite a length of only about 85 kilometres, this was a quit nice stage compared to the previous ones. As we start each leg in the same order that we finished the previous leg, Andreas Schulz and I had to start from 72nd position. Fortunately, there was rain in Morocco in the past days so that the roads were not too dusty. The conditions to overtake were ideal - a situation which does not occur too often in our dusty sport. Already after 3.5 kilometres, we caught up the car in front of us and passed it easily. We continued to do so and at the end, we set the third quickest time.

Thus, we moved up in the overall classification from sixth to fourth spot. Andreas and me are very happy about this improvement as it was a successful opener for the African section. Additionally, the leaderboard still manages to stay in touch very closely. The first four teams are separated by just 77 seconds, representing two different car manufacturers. Tomorrow, there will be a stage of 338 kilometres so keep the fingers crossed for us!
