Class victory in the 2 wheel drive category and 5th in the overall ranking for Jutta Kleinschmidt and her co-driver Philipp Beier with their X-raid Buggy  at the Sealine Cross Country Rally in Qatar.

After the upbeat at the beginning of April in Abu Dhabi, Jutta Kleinschmidt started her second rally in the FIA Cross Country Worldcup, this time in Qatar. In the qualitatively highly manned event, Jutta Kleinschmidt showed her brilliant skills on different terrains. Because of work Jutta´s Swedish Co-driver was not able to participate. Therefore the German Philipp Beier took over the navigation job. Philipp collected first experiences as a co driver in a race truck of the X-raid team in the Rally Dakar. He managed the difficult demands of the most difficult rally in the calendar superb. The tracks in Qatar are more diversified than in the United Arab Emirates. After mainly soft dunes in Abu Dhabi were the surfaces in Qatar noticeable harder. Tough fast tracks alternate with stony and bumpy tracks. But also the dunes were a big challenge for the teams. This profile comes close to the demands of the Rally Dakar. Nearly 1.700 km on stages and a total length of nearly 2.500 km were a phantastic test for the rear driven X-raid buggy CBRA.

Jutta: ”I am very pleased that we managed the challenges in Qatar very well. So we could show the potential of the new X-raid buggy. The whole team has worked very well together. My co-driver Philipp did a fantastic job. We were together for the first time in a rally car and found quickly a “common language” in the car. I am very happy with my place in such a good manned rally. Since the last race we continued the improvement of the suspension and our tires went very well with the mainly rough tracks. Our extensive experiences out of the two rallies will go into the development of the buggy. I am sure, that we can make another big step soon. I am very grateful to my reliable team. Despite to the hard work we still have a lot of fun together. A very special Thank You tSven Quandt, the the head and founder of X-raid, which has allowed me to race again.
